The Dene Course is a 9 hole course ideal for golfers of all abilities. Beginners are welcome and the dress code is more relaxed than on the Purbeck Course. It has views over Poole and the 9th hole overlooks a wonderful valley with Swanage nesting at the bottom. Visitors playing the Dene are very welcome to use the clubhouse facilities both before and after play. Club hire for the Dene course is available from the Proshop. Please note dress code for the clubhouse.
A visit here is a must for all golfers; the beginner is catered for on the 9 hole Dene course and the Purbeck Championship course proves an exciting test for even the most accomplished golfer. The Club dates back to 1892 and among the past owners who were responsible for the extension to 27 holes were Enid Blyton, the legendary writer of children's books and her husband Dr Darrell-Waters. The courses are built on heathland and are set within a nature reserve where many rare plants can be seen as well as rare birds. The restaurant has a well deserved reputation for excellent fare and very good value.
We hope to make your next visit a day to remember.
